Does anyone know how to delete brush strokes from the brush stroke library? I've had a quick run thru the help files but I can't find any mention of deletion. It's not a problem at present but this is such a great tool I can see in no time at all I'll have gross amounts of strokes. If this has to load each time XaraX loads it's going to slow down the load time.

    UPDATE:

Sorry about the above. I've now found that the fills only remain in the library whilst XaraX is open. When you close the program & restart it the strokes return to the original set only. However this raises another point. Can we add our favourite strokes to appear permanently in this library ?

Save XAR files containing brushes in the ...\Templates\Brushes directory for them to become permanently available. I imagine the release version will have more as standard anyway.

You can delete brushes in the line gallery in the right click menu, although not brushes loaded in from /templates/brushes. Note that if you use a brush and save it in a file then it will appear when you reload the file.

This brings me on to a warning though, as I have turned up a problem if you create a brush from a brush stroke object, then save and reload. Xara X can get pretty upset if you do this.
An oversight on my part I'm afraid and I've fixed it now but just so you don't get any nasty surprises.

    Hello

Are you using Large Fonts. I have changed to Small Fonts and that seems to have corrected it.
I do get a slight delay after every stroke, before the pen becomes available. 233 MMX and 128ram

There is a problem in the latest Beta with brush stroking and the use of the windows large fonts option, this has been fixed and the fix will be in the final release.

If you select small fonts everything is fine.

Adding feathering to a stroked path gives the stroke a more painterly quality.

The rectangular border is a stroked path as well.
