Default Orchid vector traced with Magnetic Lasso tool

Here is the finished piece I showed in Progress in the tracing with the magnetic lasso tool thread As you can see in the outline view I used brushes to build up texture and colour on top of the basic gradient fills that I used to block out colours. I also used the shape painter in both paint and warp modes to add extra shapes for shading, hightlights and extra touches of colours such as the white tips in places.

Spending less time tracing allowed me to spend more time on those extra little details especially in the center. Comments and critiques are welcome

    Frances,

    Really nice.

On the right petal is the dots of white color the brushes you were talking about? I can see on the left petal the dots in the wire frame but on the right I do not see them.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

@ spoondolix: I did over a period of a few days a bit here a bit there

@ RKissane: The dots you see in the wire view are a group of ellipses the rest of the texture is done with brushes which is why you see only lines in the wire frame.
