Default A couple of old postcards

After Gary was talking about post cards I remembered I'd done these last year. The drawings were done in vector, but the effects were added using software called Perfect Effects to make them look like old post cards.

These really do look old. In the current spirit of "Photoshopped" photos (the shark in the wave behind the surfer, for example) that appear in the social media websites, you should be able to create some historical mythical photos.

Time you came clean and said you bought these postcards in a rummage sale.

    Great job.

Thanks rymunni. The original drawings were done in Xara, and then made to look old using Perfect Effects filters.

Darn Paul, you caught me, I'll just have to come clean.

Hi Gray I remember the first plane and did a search for the history of it, if I remember right, not many made. The second plane the Short I saw one in the old Glasgow transport museum storage as I was doing a model for them. It looked as if the had a radiator and fuel tank sat on top of the engine which I thought a bit dangerous over a hot engine. memory a bit faded as this was about 25 years ago. Thought at the time how do they see past that and then looked to see what it did. Good effects still think there is a market for your type of drawings. Not so much the Short as it's from the WW1 era.
    Design is thinking made visual.

Long time fan of your work Gray. Those are superb even if you did as Paul said buy them at a garage sale.

I think they only made one of the Miles with the articulated wing, Albacore. I agree having hot fluids and gas in front of you is not the safest. They weren't as obsessed with safety like we are now. Remember the old Ford Model A's used to have the gas tank in the front cowling of the car for gravity feed. Not the best place to store it.

Thanks, Larry. I haven't done any graphic work for ages. Yep, from a garage sale (wink, wink).

What a cool way to use your awe-inspiring drawings.
