Backups Not Behaving? or is it me once again?

Cliff, have a think about how you created the Google Drive - it may have access permissions that are blocking Xara. The regedit settings are good.

I also think you are zeroing into the problem so contacting Xara now might be the next best step.

Acorn, have to think 'you are correct'!... I said to myself "let me create another backup folder in the good ol' standard documents folder that every program on earth defaults to and see what happens.
And whadda y'know? It's doing the right thing. So... even though I've never experienced this before with other apps saving there, this is the problem using Xara... no big deal though. I back-up the docs folder anyway to GDrive.

Was going to post that I found the answer... didn't know why I found the answer until you suggested what you did... never-the-less, all's right with the world. (for the moment)

Michael, would you raise this in dear Xara... as a separate Post with details of exactly what you are finding along with your product version?

Xara developers might not find this nugget in this position.
