Default Font Installble in Document Info

I've opened an old Xara doc., and there was a notice that some things, i.e. effects and fonts, were not available. In Document Info. it says next to the font Century SchoolBook Bold, that it is installable. I don't understand why this is a problem, as the Text/Font Gallery shows the font installed.

    What do I do?

Ron if you had exported to some form of bitmap it would not be a problem. Xara documents are a different story, if the font is not installed or imbeded the document cannot be recreated by the program. The best thing you can do is install the font if you still have it somewhere.

Here are a couple links to a free one.

other than that you may have to buy it.

    Hope this helps some.

    Thanks Larry!
I should have made it clearer. The font is installed and Xara Font Gallery shows it's installed, so I don't understand why the warning?[

Not sure why you posted here Ron. I'm moving this to the Xara Design Chat forum.

The font descriptions changed and this is why a font installed in an older document now shows as uninstalled.

I think you can open the Names gallery, select the font that it says is not installed, then click on the same font in the Fonts list.

Ok, so to help this ignorant, slow minded old fart, may I understand why this picture I've attached displays the font in this manner? The font is there, installed, in the document, but still displayed as "installable" in Doc Info. What do I need to do to change this? Does it matter if I don't change it?

Also, when I changed to another similar font, Doc Info identified that as "Print & Preview", why?

In the Doc Info, Century is set to Print&Preview.

The difference in the naming may be due to internal/external naming, or reading different name fields internal to the font. I don't know without playing with it.

The Doc Info dialog shows the Embedding of the fonts used, if any. That Embedding is a flag inside the font that the font authors set. Xara applications read that font information. It has zero to do with the other dialog, the Fonts Gallery.

    Thanks Gary and Mike.

These fonts are missing both in XDP11 and the Font Manager. The source file that was loaded into XDP11 was created on the same PC using CAD (Solidworks 2015) software.
I can only assume that the CAD software has its own embedded fonts, which XDP11 claims are "Installable" but neither it or I can find them to "install"

Can anyone here shed some light on the matter please.

Those fonts exist somewhere if on the same system they are available to the CAD application. Perhaps the CAD application uses a font folder below its installation folder, or perhaps one in the user's appdata folder? I cannot imagine they load them from an online source, but that too is possible.
