Confused me a bit talking about "jump drives" there Nita until I found out you meant a usb memory stick as they tend to be called here.
Problem with using this method is how do you synch amendments you both might make independently?
Instead why not upload the latest xar or web file to the clients hosting server. They can then log on using Filezilla or whatever ftp program, download the latest file, change it as required, publish the amended site then upload the revised xar/web file?
Provided you're not working on the same source file at the same time I think this would work. Never tried it though
