Everytime I try to run a script Corel crashes indicating a MSVCRT40.DLL error.
Anybody else experiencing the same type of error?
Corel Support gave me the polish hand-salute (Duh...I dunno)!

Does this problem show up always?
Did PP9 was running fine, then abruptly the problem start?
What PP9 version are you running?
Search for msvcrt40.dll and check how many of those file you have and what version are they?
Did you install a new application and the problem start after instalation?

>>>Yes!
Did PP9 was running fine, then abruptly the problem start?
>>>Yep
What PP9 version are you running?
>>>Latest version (two patches applied...am at work so cannot pull up to see what version for sure)!
Search for msvcrt40.dll and check how many of those file you have and what version are they?
>>>Believe around 7 versions...all different flavors.
Did you install a new application and the problem start after instalation?
>>>None to my knowledge.
Thanks, Michael. Any ideas appreciated. Went back to v7 and really don't know about dropping $250 for v10.

This is probably not much help, but I use scripts every day and I have only two of that file, one is in C:\WINNT\system32 (dated 10/13/96) and the other is in C:\Program Files\Macromedia\FreeHand 8 (dated 2/9/00 and four times as large), which implies that Draw didn't supply and isn't overwriting either one. Maybe I could e-mail you the 1996 version?
I am operating with Win98SE, not NT so don't think that will fix my problem. Thanks anyways tho!

Here is the problem which one is the good one?
You should check what of the 7 could be related to PP9. I think it is the one in Windows/System, but I am not sure.
Possiblilities:
Reinstall using the Custom option. PP9, and Script Editor if you have it installed. It may overwrite the msvcrt40.dll used by Corel to the right version.
Updating or not to V.10, it depends on your needs, and possibilities.
