    Thanks, Egg and Boy.

Here's the last sample map for my first tutorial guide, another post-apocalyptic setting - the fallen bridge, all created in XDP9.

    once again an excellent drawing
but there's one thing my mariner's eye spotted
    it's a river, but there's no current
also, there's no rubble on the riverbabnk
    just my tuppence worth
    still excellently done though
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

@Big Frank - well that river looks a lot like the Illinois River which passes through my hometown. Since the river is dammed throughout its length, the river is indeed slow in movement of its current and cannot be discerned as having much of a current, at least on the surface. The Illinois has undertow currents, which this one probably has as well. Its even brown like the Illinois is. The path along the river's edge has been cleared of rubble by local survivors that use the river as a source of drinking water (though it has to be purified), a source for fishing, and possibly a safer route to travel if you have small boat versus trying to cross overland to meet gangs and marauder bands in the post apocalyptic world.

Looks great GP but my comment would be the use of bevels. No critism but I'd like to see some failed steel reinforcemant rods. Small fry I knpw.

The thought did occur to me as I was creating the map, but the thought must have slipped before I was finished.

They say 3 things go away when you get older, memory is one, and I forget the other two...
