Xara DesignerPro 8 prints blank sheets

This has happened before. This morning I was printing a vector file and it printed fine. Somewhat later I printed another vector file and all Xara does is throwing out a blank page. I tried to reboot but that didn't solve the problem. I printed a test page and that went well. Anyone an idea what could be wrong?

Dunno. It never happened to me in any version...but I rarely print direct from an application anyway. Typically I create a PDF, review the PDF for any issues and print the PDF.

Can you still create a PDF from an offending file or one this happens from that particular file?

Did you put your images on a non-printing layer? (Look in the Page and Layer Gallery)

No, just one layer and before I printed a shape from the same page.

I didn't try but you have to be able to print a vector file, I did manage to get it printed as a bitmap.

I would still try the PDF route...

Have you reset your printer after it fails to print?

have you got any lines/outlines that are set to '0px', [as opposed to 'none'], - that can confuse some printers

Yes, rebooted my laptop and restarted the printer.
It is a simple vector with one detailed shape with no fill and a line of 0,25 px in black. Tried giving it a fill but no print then either.

but of a ramble as a thread, but in summary:

1] it may be 'too many nodes' - possible bug
2} on a copy can try selecting, clicking 'converting line to shape' followed by 'converting to editable shape'

but it may be something different of course...
