Default Image import - wrong size

When I drag and drop an image into Xara (or import) it comes in scaled down.
Ie a 300dpi image that is 1200x1200 pixels is not coming in as 4'x4' but some other smaller size.

Is there a way to make it come in matching the size of the image as per the images metadata settings.

Eg: export an A4 page size image at 300dpi. Then start a new Xara drawing with A4 page and drag the jpg onto the new page. Now you have to scale up the image to the page size.

    Default Image reduce or original

When importing images Xara prompts if you want to reduce or bring in original size

Is there anyway to set the option to always original
I mean alway not just the tick box on the dialogue that remembers for this session.

    Thanks

You might set up everything the way you want it including the view image options and from the file menu choose "save template" and be sure to check the box "use as default template"

The first option imports any photo at the actual size of the image in pixels at 1:1 (96dpi)
The second option imports the photo at the dpi resolution of the photo, so a photo saved at 300dpi will import at the same size as exported and at the same resolution.

Experiment with both of these and see which works best for you.
