Default Cleanup Web Designer Bitmap Gallery

One of my .web files was only 4,121kb yesterday. I changed a couple things around and today it is 14,739kb. I looked in the bitmap gallery and there are all kinds of stuff in there, some of which I do not believe I am using. Is there a way to tidy it up?

if you have saved the program, closed it, and then re-opened it up again, then any bitmaps that are not actually in your document should be removed [assuming it works the same way as designer pro]

Also, if you optimize all images it will reduce the file size.

If you have a photo that is 480px resolution, it is going to export at 96dpi and 192dpi (if you have Retina HiDef Images selected). So anything larger than this is going to create a larger file size.

One thing I have found amazing is let's say you have a large screen sized photo but you have applied a clip view to use only a small portion of the image. Xara will export the image at the clipped size. But internally, it keeps the entire image. This small image can have a very large file size.

If you optimize the image, the file size drops considerably because once you optimize the image, only the visible portion of the image is retained.
