    Hi folks,
Got a small assignment from a friend of mine whos into racing and wants a very specific logo for the team...
Got most of it togheter but I want a very "schetchy" car illustration to go with the logo. But it kind of lacks the final touch!
I want it more simple looking and to use less lines...anyone done this before???

And anyone got a tip on what brush to use?

As long as I do it freehand I get it almost right but I still want it in a more "inky" way and I don't get it right!

    I like the sketchy look.

Experiment with some of the stoked shapes. The length of the line makes a difference in how the stroked like looks.

Instead of doing the whole drawing with one line stroke, try to find stroke shapes that match your freehand lines.

I don't have anything to suggest other than that.

    Hi Roland,

Ronald duke is the car master around here. Although there are others who are very good at freehand sketching.

I would try more lines and keep them shorter. It will look more like a quick sketch then.

    Roland,

    Some other approaches.

    1. Play with Feathering.

    2. Make a copy of your stroked-car. Then convert all strokes to shapes, remove their outline, and play with very fine fractal fills ... this may help to breakup the hard edges.

Or you could simply trace the original - Andrew

There's no problem in tracing it Andrew but thats not the effect I want...

I want it to look like a real easy and simple sketchy, like being painted in just a few strokes by an real artist hehe http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
