Xara Web Designer 7 error publishing website

Hi can anyone please help.

We have been using Xara Web Designer 7 Premium for a couple of years for various websites and have had very few problems with it.

However we have been trying to publish/upload an existing website to our hosting package (using the 'publish website' option from within Xara) since yesterday morning after making a couple of changes and we keep receiving the following error notification

Error from Xara Web Designer 7
General FTP error
No 5xx error code found in server response

226 File received OK
200 Switching to Binary Mode

This message only appears once and subsequent attempt to upload simply return an 'Operation Timed Out' error after approx 10 seconds of the upload starting.

Does anyone know what may be causing this and how we can rectify the problem please ?

Hi again and please accept my applogies

I have just found an existing topic on the forum about a similar problem which I hadn't seen which says the problem was/is caused by a windows/internet explorer 11 change and directed me to here

I have updated the Xara Web Designer 7 software as suggested and have now successfully published/uploaded the website without any problem.

Perhaps Admin could delete my topic if they feel it necessary as it is duplicated elsewhere by others.

Try Help>>Check for updates...

There have been problems caused by Microsoft but Xara have produced a fix.

Failing that, try a third party FTP - Filezilla is good ... and free.
