layer issue again

Hello

Simply putting "stretchy buttons" on my MOUSE OFF page. i've been monitoring the Page and Layer Gallery to see how these changes occur.

I'm also watching because this am I inserted 15 buttons on my mouse off page (all i did was resize and change the text)
When I previewed the current web page, ALL 15 buttons were there, but no TEXT?? I went to the P&L Gallery and found the text in groups in the Mouse OVER layer.

I deleted all 15 and am now redoing the process. THe same thing is happening? I drag the button to the mouse off layer.
As soon as I double click to change the text, a new softgroup is on the mouse OVER layer and the TEXT is there, NOT on the mouse off Layer.

apparently this is why i can't view the necessary text in the buttons in the Webpage Viewer.

UPDATE:

i did correct....went through one at at time and was able too maintain all text and graphics on the mouse off level.
