Updating Problem

Hi Folks,

Anyone having a problem getting the latest update to work?

On my laptop (64b) the update downloaded and worked perfectly but on the desktop (32b) it appears that the update file is trying to upload (you briefly get a the grey uploading box but the progress bar clearly isn't working). The yellow upload button still appears and you can press but it gives a message that it can't find the exe file in Temp folders.

Now the first thought here is Bullguard is blocking it, except Bullguard has permissions set for Xara and if it blocks it tells you.

My only assumption is that Windows has reset to block exes on an update.

Has anyone else had any problems or do you have any ideas?

I'm nearly stumped.

I have the same 32-bit issue:

Windows cannot find '..\AppData\Local\Temp\MxUpdate.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

All I have done is downloaded the entire 9.02 exe from the downloads section and I was going to re-install after I had finished my latest project.

Sorry no other solution other than raising a ticket with Xara comes to mind.

I just remembered that there was a bug in the initial release that was effecting some of the thumbnails on my mobile site. The update is supposed to fix these things.

I deleted all the current files and did a whole new publish.

The first publish the index_html_files folder did not upload.

I did a second republish and it did work, but the publishing speed is very slow.

I did the same. It worked. Must be a 32-bit update problem on some systems I guess.

I have the same 32-bit issue over here. Must be a 32-bit update problem. On my other laptop (64b) the download worked perfectly.

I cannot imagine why any required utility would be parked in a Temp folder.
