Hi ChuckPA,
Do you have a programme called Robohelp installed?
Antony
I'd start a revolution, if I could get up in the morning.
"Do you have a programme called Robohelp installed?"
No.
Hmm. Okay. I'm stumped. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
I've always had this error occur for me, but I've never seen it on a machine without Robohelp installed. I guess there's always a first!
Do you have any HTML help creation programmes?
Either way, I think I will need to investigate this further, and find out why it's been occuring.
I'd start a revolution, if I could get up in the morning.

Just to let you know the bug is happening here as described by Chuck
Two error windows and then the help file displays.
I do not have Robohelp installed, but I do have Microsoft HTML Help Workshop installed as part of my own custom XML based help creation system.

Chuck and Peter, would you mind doing me a favour please?
A replacement help file can be found here:
www.talkgraphics.com/xarax.chm
If you could download this, and replace your current version. You'll find it in your Xara X1 programmes directory, wherever you installed this, under a directory called HelpAndSupport\ENG
Once you've replaced it, fire up the help guide and see if you get the error message, then let me know the results.
Many thanks for your help.

Antony,
I was getting the same error message. The title of the messagebox is HTML Help Author Message. And the contents are the same as Chuck mentioned. I don't have RoboHelp, but I do have the MS HTML help tools installed for VS 6.0 and VS.NET 2003.
I downloaded the new help file and the messagebox does not appear when opening help, but it still appears when I select Movies from the Help menu.

Antony,
I have the same help bug symptom. I installed the new CHM file and end up with the same situation reported by Soquili--that is, help opens correctly but the bug is still evident when I try to run a movie.
I do not have Robohelp, but I do have MS HTML Help Workshop installed.
Ah... Another case of Micosoft not working and playing well with others. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
