Thank you Angelize - I do have that font on my system and noted its similarity, but I wasn't sure that it was an exact match. The L in particular seems more... lyrical than the Calisto L. The baseline serifs seem to 'plant' themselves on the plane in a very pleasing way to me. Thanks again for checking this out. I'm using PGD7 -Maggie

The font may have been modified.

Scan a larger version of just the text and upload it to What The Font http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ They are often good at font sleuthing.

It is almost impossible to make a good match from a sample that small.

Thanks Mike - I will look into Carre-noir. And yes, agreed, Gary, it is difficult with such a small sample. I can scan the book cover and upload it to What the Font - didn't know about that!

My screen shot in post #5 is a cleaned-up and enlarged copy, but you might get a better one from a good scan.

Another font that comes close in some parts is Bazhanov.

Heck, I would likely email the publisher and see if they would be willing to share the name.

    Take care, Mike
