    Now the meadow is gone, they built houses there.
    The developers or the large bugs (grasshoppers I believe).

    Of course "they" is developers
    By the way, this is not a grasshopper, it's a wart-biter (just found it on Wikipedia, untill now these were also "grasshoppers" to me).
