Thread: IE thumbnails

    Default IE thumbnails

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place.
When looking at my WD .web files in explorer, I find that now some of them show an actual thumbnail of the page while others put up a large W and pen, which is real annoying. I use Win 7 and WD7. Only a couple times have I used WD8, but there is no correlation to the explorer glitch.
I checked my sys association page and it says XARA.

The other thing is that all my htm files specify "Opera Document". I don't even know anything about Opera... I checked and my assoc is set up to Chrome.

    Don't make it complicated, I'm 72. .grin.

    Thanks in advance.

There you go playing the age card again.

Can you do a screen capture (press Print Screen - then paste the page into Xara and crop to the appropriate area) so we can see what you are referring to?

Do you have Opera installed on your computer? You may need to go into Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs and make Chrome the program that opens HTML files. Most browsers will try to set themselves up as your default product and this sounds like what may have happened.

Is there any content in the document that shows the W logo?
