I have Xara 1.26 and testing XaraX. The antialiasing doesn't seem to be as good as 1.26, whether in draw or when exporting to file. I set the quality to 100% to no effect.
I hope this is a beta issue.

Hello Joe C
As far as I can tell, the antialiasing is a bit better. I know that Xara has overhauled the bitmap antialiasing engine and as a result the bitmaps looks better to me.
I wonder if anyone else has noticed a difference—either better or worse?

but I know the anti-aliasing doesn't look worse on my setup (I would have noticed that!)

I don't notice a difference. Can you post some examples (Xara 1.X compared to XaraX)? This may clear up whether it is an AntiAlias issue or something else.
Do you have the latest Beta?

I may have just not found it yet, but is there a way to prevent Xara X from applying anti-aliasing to bitmaps?
I find that for some tasks, particularly when producing graphics to pixel dimensions, I prefer to have Xara anti-alias vector objects but to leave bitmaps alone.
It would be nice to choose it to behave in Xara X mode or original mode.
Can this be done?
Stu.
In the final release the user will be able to control the anti-aliasing of bitmaps on a bitmap by bitmap basis by setting properties in the bitmap gallery, this has already been implemented on internal versions.

Sure. Set your display to the next quality level down and then export. Xara will also export in wireframe mode if that is the display mode you are currently in.

Hi there.
It seems that I'm unable to make Xara X remember the settings for anti-aliasing for each element in the names gallery. Even though I specifically select "Minimise visible anti-aliasing" for all my named images/slices, when I export the image in slices it still comes out with an annoying white border and resets to "Maintain screen anti-aliasing". Is this a bug?
Thanks for the help!
