    Default Google Maps widget

    So... Another idiot question
I'm trying to insert a Google Maps widget into my website. I've followed the instructions, it's all clear and it works as it should... It appears with a small pointer with an A in it, showing the location that I want. That is fine. What is not fine, is the massive white box/flag above that showing the address.
I want a small map to show the general location and if people want to get specific they can click on it and have a closer look. As it is the big white box obscure half of the map.
How can I keep the small pointer and get rid of the big box?
    Thanks

The small pointer with the A seems to come and go. I just tried it.

In my copy of MX Premium, when I preview the map there is an X in the callout box that when clicked makes the marker go away.

    Thanks for that...
I can make it go away in the preview box, like you said, but once it is on my website it comes back...
I'm using Web Designer MX 8, if that makes a difference.

Can you post a link to the page with the map?

Err... I guess the website needs to be on the web to do that? It's saved and I'm working on it on my computer. Is there a way that I can copy and paste just that page? Sorry, I'm a bit clueless.

You can create a new web page, then paste the map onto the page then upload the page to your server.

But I suspect the answer to your original question is there is probably not much you can do except to change the size of the map and a few other tweaks.

My humble advice is to live with it for a while.

The way I have it at the moment it's not so obvious. It's a little irritating that I can't get it to look the way I want it to, but as it is I can live with it.
    Thanks for trying to help
