BACKGROUND TILING

Following the instructions (highlight jpeg in BITMAP GALLERY, click BACKGROUND) the jpeg does not tile onto the page.
Also, the SET NO COLOR button on the COLOR BAR does not clear the current color from the page. When I refer to PAGE I mean the raw page (not the pasteboard) with no other layer applied .By the way, the layers are unlocked.
Any suggestions?

Right click on the pasteboard and select Default Page Background.

What Xara application are you trying to do this in? I just tried it in WD7 and it works fine.

Thanks Gary for your quick response. Very helpful. Working fine now in WD6. The prob was that while the page already had a color on it the tiled jpeg could not be applied. Once I removed the color - thanks to your advice - the tiling works. Thanks again.

I don't know if this works in 6, but try holding down CTRL while just dragging and dropping your image onto the pasteboard or page. This can be done from the BITMAP GALLERY or right from a windows explorer window.
