You can take a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead!
Thanks Garry. I had to create a bitmap copy of knife in order to blur the reflection. Is there a way to do this without using a bitmap copy?
Thank you everyone for the encouraging words. This was a small project but has a lot of detail work. this was a fun project that i really enjoyed doing. i took a night to do. i prefer to do the smaller products that I can do in an evening. its good therapy for me. Last night i did the knife, marble and a cupel others that i did not post. thank you everyone for your support.
Paul
There is a way to blur a vector group with out making a bitmap copy. Select the group, and go to live effects and at the very top of the list select enhance. The control box that pops up will let you apply blur/ sharpen, contrast, brightness and saturation adjustments to your selection.

Basically what Frances is suggesting creates a bitmap and unless you intend to edit the reflection, there is no reason not to create a bitmap.

yes, it creates a bitmap effect but your vector group is still editable as a vector group and as it is a "Live" effect you can resize your drawing to what ever size you like and Xara will reapply the effect so it is an improvement over making a bitmap copy.

the knfe's good, very good, but you have the reflection and its perspective all wrong
when doing a reflection you need to do (1), you have done (2)

I think I just cut myself, just looking at it. Good job!
