Set Text color changes back to original (black) in preview

Set color to purple during design, In preview it shows in black

That property is for link. I my case it is not link, just a highlighted text in different color. So this property setting wont help.

I just tried random coloring in WD MX and it works fine (see attached).

If your .web file is not too big, or if you can just save the problem page, can you post it here and let us have a look?

Can you please try that in popup layer. In my case I have 3 popup layers linked to 3 different button. All popup layers have transition set to 'Fade'
one of the popup layer, has multicolored text.

You have set a purple outline colour to that text by the look of it.
You cannot do this with text as browsers cannot show outlines on real text.
If you require this, then you will need to select the text then group it (Ctrl+G) so that Xara exports it as an image.

To set font color, what I did was selected the text, then clicked on color, then selected set line color. Is it the right method to color Font? I did not see any other option?

You want to set the Fill Color not the outline color.

It worked. sorry my fault of selecting set line color option.

Easy mistake.

It used to be really simple. Following the old CorelDRAW method, you left clicked on a fill color and right clicked on an outline color.

But Xara decided this was not intuitive enough and added the pop up menu to make it easier for new users.
