Missing copy paste function in Xara Pro 8

Because I live in a world ruled by adobe products unfortunately it was a huge time saver to be able to copy vectors between Xara 7 and Illustrator CS5, now that functionality no longer works. I hope this can be addressed as it will truly be a major roadblock in my workflow.

Copy from DPX and paste to Illy CS5 doesn't work, confirmed. (But works in DP7 as you say)
Copy from Illy CS5 and paste to DPX does though.

Yeah, its not just for getting stuff into Illy as you call it, but when I need a proper vector in Photoshop I can copy and paste from Xara to Illy and then to Photoshop. As you know creating vectors in Photoshop is like a major pain especially if they are complex.

You can also create a Xara EPS, PDF, AI file and open it directly in Photoshop. I don't see any benefit of passing the file through Illustrator.

The benefit is if you want a vector shape inside of Photoshop that you can edit and retain its vector shape. If you import an eps into Photoshop it rasterizes it. This is something I use all the time in Adobe plus when I am working with people that only use photoshop and adobe products they like to have a nonrasterized layered version so they can edit or make changes.

This does sound like a serious bug that needs fixing as soon as possible. Do you know if it works from Web Designer MX (standard or premium) or is that broken as well?

Yes, also broken in WD MX, Gerry.

The cause of this bug has been found. It was introduced just before the release of WD MX when fixing a bug with exporting a multipage document as EMF. This fix unfortunately broke the creation of EMF for the Windows clipboard, resulting in no data in the EMF. This bug has now been fixed and will be included in future updates.
