    Default PDF Export Problem

    Hi All,

When ever I export to PDF from Designer Pro 7 a graphic ends up in the PDF file that isn't any where in the Xara doc. It happens on most files exported from Xara but not all. It also happens on both my laptop and my desktop PC. I'm pretty sure it used to happen in WD6 so it may stem from there.

I've attached a PDF exportd from Xara, you shouild hopefully see two black.. um.. cartoonish feet / foot prints. God knows where they came from, I must have imported them at somepoint. You should also notice they only appear on the first page of a document.

I've tried searching for just outlines in Designer pro but nothing.

Is there an .INI file or cache file I can clear?

I haven't tried a re-install yet as it happens on two PC's so can't see it being that.

    Thanks
    Dean

they look suspiciously like the feet from a xara custom brush [line gallery > novelty > feet]

posting up the xar file as sledger suggests might help us identify for sure

in outline view they would just appear as a line - see attached

ok you have somehow given objects an outline that is indeed the feet brush

they are the four rectangles two purple and one white on page 1 and one purple on page 2

you have the outline set to none, but it is still registering in the PDF export in some way - that is likely a glitch

you need to select the rectangles , open the line gallery > new brush strokes, click on 'default stroke' and then click the gallery apply button - probably best to do each rectangle seperately

    prossibly a gnomra issue Mike

Deanx - 'gnomra' - give new object most recent attribute'

in a nutshell the last stroke type you used carries over - not always what you want, it can be disabled in options

    Thanks guys.

I remember playing with lines on those rectangles. I guess as it was set to none I didn't look to that possiblitiy. I also copied the rectangles into other projects. Hence why it was happening on multiple docs.

    Thanks again
