    Hi mdasilva, welcome to TalkGraphics.

What are you loading into your Xara application, also which Xara app are you using. Xara is the company name not a specific product.

If you are importing a bitmap (jpg, gif, png, tif, etc.) image, you can see the dpi on the status line when you have the image selected. You can also look in the bitmap gallery and see the information.

If you are importing a vector drawing they are resolution independent and can be scaled up or down without distortion that a bitmap would experience.

    Hi Soquili

Thank you for the quick response. yes, I have Xara Xtreme and yes I'm using it to open eps vector files. It works great but I wanted to be able to see the resolution. Is there a quick view of the resolution?

If the art work is vector, there is no resolution information as a vector is resolution independent.

    Take care, Mike

A vector has not resolution so there is nothing to be seen.

When you export to a bitmap you can specify the resolution in the Export dialog.

EPS files can, but do not always contain bitmaps.

Look at the logo in Xtreme in Outlines view (Window > Quality > Outlines).

Any outlines you see will be vector shapes. There might be a rectangle background and this may or may not be a bitmap or it might just be a background color. Hold down the Ctrl key and click on the rectangle and delete it. If everything looks OK then it was probably just a white rectangle. If the image does not look right then Edit > Undo or press Ctrl z.
