I've added an swf file (through a placeholder) to a webpage. When it comes up, it keeps playing continuously. The swf was created with formatfactory.
I s there a way in Xara (DP7) to let it stop after one loop ?

Hello Guy,
You can have the Flash Animation stop by appending ;Stop to the name you give the last frame.
If your animation has 8 frames and the last frame is named Frame8, simply rename it to Frame8;Stop.

I understand that Bill, and it wouldn't be a problem if I used Xara's animation feature. However, this is an avi file (made with Magix Movie edit), and then converted to swf using FormatFactory, and I don't see where I can influence the number of loops in FormatFactory or in Xara DP (where I created my webpage with the placeholder to contain the swf).

Sorry I was thinking you were creating the flash within DP7.
Are you entering the embed code within the placeholder? If so you can include the loop= parameter and make it false.
See the information at this link for reference: http://www.free-video-hosting.net/embed-flash.php

Actually, I'm not. Xara has this wonderful Placeholder tab in web properties, so all I have to do is put the name of the "movie" there and make sure that the swf-file is in the corresponding directory when I publish.
I think I'll just leave it be. It's a 4+minute movie so when it starts again, the user will have to press the back-button in the browser to, well, go back. Thanks anyway for taking the time to reply.
