    Default Westland Welkin

With a 70 ft wingspan, pressurized cockpit, four 20 mm cannons, two Merlins, a top speed of 390 mph and a service ceiling of 45000ft, the Welkin was cutting edge for 1942. Kept in reserve to counter Germany if it attempted high altitude bombing of Britain , the Welkin could fly higher than any other British aircraft of the day. The threat never materialized but 67 were kept in reserve. This illustration shows the prototype testing the 250 gallon drop tanks.
The aircraft is 100% vector with the background a mix of vector and raster.

WOW! You get so much detail in your drawings. It is incredible. Another winner, Gray.

Gray, your drawing looks like a photograph. There is so much detail and I love the way the props look as though they're spinning. Great motion effect. What a fantastic job, you have a true eye for detail and realism. wow, what a great job.

Another fantastic drawing gray, great detail and a sense of movement, and you asked me to have a go and draw a whole aircraft! errrh I don't think so gray, I'll leave that to the master of aircraft drawing, although I'll draw the instruments for you
