Xara X launched

Hello kate and all of the programmers in the Xara-X team,

Tanks very much for the great new program. I think there will always will be some wishes (my wife has them also although i ment to be perfect) but i am completley satified with XARA-X. I wil recomend it just a little but harder to my frends and other relations than i already did before.

I quit now because i have to play with my new super toy.

Hi Kate,

What can we look forward to in terms of movies and tutorials when the CD becomes available? Are the movies/tutorials new or are they basically the old stuff? One of my main problems when I got CorelXara was that there wasn't much available in terms of learning CorelXara (with all due repect to the Xealots and their hard work). No 3rd party books, it took forever before any of the movies from the previous (non Corel) version were made available, etc... I might be interested in upgrading, but only if there is significantly more hand holding for taking a newbie (my son this time, not me) from the unknown to at least somewhat Xara aware.

I would just like to add my congratulations to the team at Xara for an excellent product. The new features are great. The opportunity to mess around with the beta's was much appreciated, the bugs were acceptable and in the main have been ironed out. Well done...you can all take yesterday off....then redouble your efforts to promote your fantastic product and start on developing Xara XI.

Quick count on the tutorial movies suggests there were 50 with CorelXARA, of which 11 have been redone and one dropped for Xara X. There are 43 new ones, either done or in the works. Final tally will depend on such interesting variables as when the CD runs, how long it takes our 'voice' to recover from the flu and what studio time we can book when she does...

... and the best part is that the Flash export work with brush strokes! Goodie goodie, now I can put my cartoons to Flash as soon as I get the time [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif[/img]

Well I've bought my copy and on opening a early CX2 drawing I did which had a lot of 'nodes' of a coastal map, and redraw was always very slow in anti-aliased view but now its like...instant redraw!

I'm sure Mr Tad Bridenthal will find this speed increase useful [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]
