Hello, hve just joined .. m also new to Xara Xtreme 5 but recently upgraded to Xara Designer Pro6, getting abit more into trying to work with program.
I am an amateur user so hve one query so far.
Since I bought Pro6, hve installed software via download. Just received the disc n handbook. Question is should I delete the downloaded program n then reinstall with the disc? Can anyone advise? I can't remember whether I had to do this when I had Xtreme 5.

The downloaded program is exactly the same as the disc software so just carry on as you are. Asuming you have already unlocked and registered your software, installing the disc would chnge nothing. Going to the Help menu in Designer and selecting update program, will give to access to clipart, templates, fonts etc, if you haven't already downloaded those.

No. Talkgraphics as a community relies on people visiting rgularly to catch up with whats going on. Personal messages are notified by email however.

Yes, you do! I certainly do, so I'm not sure why Derek thinks otherwise..

I'm not really sure, there was a post some time ago that when you get the disks you should uninstall the dl version then reinstall the program from the disks(that being the most current version) but that only needed to be done one time and after that you can check for updates without having to uninstall. Derek may be correct if there is no longer a difference in the dl and disk versions.

Hello Kim, welcome to Talkgraphics.

You must subscribe to a thread to receive email notifications of posted replies.

In the "My Profile General Settings" you can select to subscribe to threads with several options of how you are notified.

You can also subscribe to an indivual thread when you select "Go Advanced" to use the advanced editor rather than the Quick Reply. The Advanced Editor is also were you have the option to upload attachments to a post.
