    Default Help recreating a logo

    Hi,

Can anyone advise as to how I can best recreate the below logo? Been racking my head and it is throwing me for a loop. Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

Maybe find the person who created the logo in the first place and ask her or him.

Why would anyone want to re-create it? It's already truly awful. Gives the word logo a very bad name.
    Saludos,
    Bob.
Edit: Okay, I'm sorry, I should have kept that to myself. The text in Black looks like the font Copperplate Bold.
The text in orange might be Blippo. It has had an inner contour applied to it. I do hope that helps.

Just copy it using the drawing tools and text tools. I'm not sure where the problem lies.

(I agree with Bob though, it is a truly awful logo)

For me the interesting part is trying to recreate the 'men' part of the logo.
Doesn't look as though an inner contour will simply do the job. Or I can't seem to achieve it!

    Bob is right.
It is an inner contour. Just turn the light elevation all the way up.
Well, that's how I managed to get the effect.

Gary - Wow! If only I had thought of that.
Bob - I agree, but what can I say a job's a job - Thanks for the pointers
David - Yeah, but the orange tracing around the cross image is proving to be inconsistent
    Rik - Thank you!

Rik Light Elevation is one of the Bevel attributes, not the Contour.

The font I used is Bauhaus 93 with an inner Contour of 50 steps and round joins.

Maybe update the text with more of a modern younger feel and define the "A" example attached...I worked with what I had

    The PDF imports.

To build off the work gone on before my post, I've attached a start for you, ArchersPro. Don't thank me--the hardest part is yet to do.

I've thrown down a few lines on the robe. The layers should work out. You will need to create the Jesus figure itself. You'll need to work out fills and blends to get the colors down well, and once the cross fils are in place, change the line weight to none.

A subset of the fonts should be embeded. As stated, the "Men" text is Bauhaus 93, the CoC text is CopperPlate, the "Fire" text I chose a close approximation (I used Borealis).

When working on Jesus' fill, turn off all but the Jesus outline layer and the Original PDF layer. The others, when turned on, will overlap it.

As for tracing. Often times it is quicker to have the image on a locked layer and simpy redraw a graphic such as this.

Good luck, post more questions as needed.

    Take care, Mike

    Hi Bill.

I did indeed use the Bevel tool. Well spotted.
I just got my tool names mixed up - 'senior moment'

Though I see that the same effect can be achieved using the Contour tool.
