Is there any way to change the "black" color scheme of Web Designer 6.
Most designer products that I have used previously offered several color schemes for the development environment. I find the black dark and gloomy!!
Thanks
Terry

There is a way of changing the skin color but I can't remember how to do it and from what I have heard it creates more problems than it solves.
I have worked with the dark gray skin color for some time and find it very pleasing. It focuses my eyes on the page and everything surrounding the page.

Hi Terry,
Welcome to Talkgraphics.
You can change the interface to the older Xara standard by using the key combination Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S. If you have customized your Toolbars they will also be reset to the default.
When the dark UI was introduced and someone posted the key combination Xara said they may not support the ability to change to the older UI in newer versions. I hope that the number of people that have complained has registered with them for future releases.

I'm not a fan of this dark GUI either, but I think the contrast between the icons and the surrounding areas contributes to people's dissatisfaction. Certainly to mine. :-)
I was happy with the xwd 5 colour scheme and thought I would hate the new one, but after a while I have got used to it and as Gary says it does help to concentrate on the job at hand
