Links: Internal 'Link To Page' only lniking to first letter

Hello,

I am trying to create internal links, from a word on the front page to other pages in the site.

I am highlighting the word, clicking on Web Properties, Link, Choosing the page to link to from Link to Page, Apply.

It is only highlighting the first letter of the word?!

Sure I am doing something dumb, but would like the whole word highlighted, help would be appreciated.

So long as you are 'swipe-highlighting' with the text tool and remembering to click 'Apply' after adding the page link, then it should be fine. If not - then I have no idea because that would be behaviour I have never seen

Hi,

This is what I m doing:

1. Highlight the 'whole' word
2. Go to: Web Properties
3. Go to: Link To Page
4. Select the right page
5. Click Apply

Outcome = Only the first letter of a word is highlighted.

Anyone else any thoughts.

Strange - I simply cannot repeat this in Web Designer 6 or Designer Pro 6.

I had this problem and found that swiping from left to right worked but right to left had that effect.

Please let us know if this is so as it could be a bug.

Well, I just had to try that because by habit I'm a Left to Right swiper. But try as I might, Right to Left works just as well in WD6 and DP6 for me.

I wonder if this another MS Intellimouse driver issue? I recall there have been many problems with users of such mice with the MS drivers installed.

No intellimouse - I am using a Wacom tablet and Wacom Drivers.

Anyone else abe to repeat the effect?

Hi there,

I did the right to left and this didnt make a difference.

HOWEVER when I read about Microsoft, I am using a Microsoft Mouse, so used my Wacom Tablet (thanks for the idea Christine) and it worked fine and highlighted the whole word, so success!!!!

So for well done Sledger, definetly an MS issue.

And thanks guys for your ideas, saved me punching the monitor!
