    Seems like it is easy enough to make a custom brush for that purpose.
    We can't expect our tools to do our work for us...

    Andfarr,

    The problem in your example is that the spacing between the brush elements is off as it is calculated between the centers of the elements. Thus, the space around the stripe is much smaller than the space around the center dot. You'd need to group an invisible stripe to every dot to get the proper spacing. A lot of hassle, imho.
