Page Size & Default Units in Xara Designer 6

Hi Guys,

I've used Xara since X1 but have still failed to work out 2 simples things.

A. How can you set a page size bigger than 9ft? as i often have to export .PDF files larger than 9ft for print. Xara is set to max 2.75m

B. When setting units to mm is there a way to keep this setting? as every time i load a new file/open Xara have to set to mm again.

Any help would be great

You can't.
Though you can save a blank PDF from CorelDraw which exceeds this and load it into Xara, but you may run into problems.

Set your page up with the units ect how you want them, then go to File>>Save Template
Name it something, place a tick in the box 'Use as default template' and then press 'Save'

Now clicking 'New' will always load your saved template

New template works perfect, that'll save me some time on a daily basis.

Regarding page size do you know why there's a max page size set?

Will try importing a template from illustrator.

I believe it's something to do with the legacy code base on which (all) Xara X is built.
But I could be totally wrong.
Though you are certainly not the first to wonder about this or to ask Xara to change (increase) it.
