Wow there are some awesome effects here. That is a very clever trick with the blend Valery.

Each letter is an individual object with the same 3D effect. Various backgrounds, drop shadow, letters twisted around at random:
I had a go at this text effect, but forgot to write the instructions...guess you're going to have to pull it apart and figure it out!

Hi Michele,
I like your entry. It prompted my old memory to recall a file I made a couple of years ago.

Since we're uploading text effects from the past here's an unseasonal one from a few years ago (XX4 I think)...
Hi Bill nice to hear from you!
I had a look at your entry which is great by the way! I had fun creating mine from scratch. Isn't it strange how one can come up with similar or same ideas as the next! I guess we are all influenced by what we see, feel and experience at the time. I guess we aren't so different after all!
Keep up your good work Bill, you are a diamond.

Wow cool stuff.
My contribution is pretty basic. Just a round beveled frame and some drop shadows. It's several yeas old...i will remake it with some of the cooler
techniques I am learning from you all.
Because of the extrusion, I had a problem getting the shadow to align properly. I had to create a new copy of the text, convert it to editable shapes,
ungroup (twice) and after flipping, place each shape individually. There was still some work to do with stretching and skewing, too. Improvements to Xara's floor shadow feature wouldn't come amiss.
I was rather pleased with the candy striped fill (repeating linear fill) which seems to complement the font I used (LHF Letterhead Tuscan - $30 from here - a very nice site).
Saludos,
Bob.
