Hum, I forgot this. I will try to name them.
What is the purpose of naming the objects, sledger?

As Sledger said, if (like in the video) you have a rectangle and a star in frame 1 and a rectangle and a star in frame 2, it tweens one to the other. If you have two stars in both frames, it has to know which one it is moving to which position.
Try this in frame 1 name star 1 and star 2 and in frame 2 name star 1 and star 2 watch the animation. Now in frame two, change the names to star 2 and star 1. Now watch the animation .... See the difference?

Hello friends,
I understood.
I will try to do this again on Webdesigner 6, because I only got on Photo and Graphic Designer 6.
And, so, if I have 150 frames, I will have to name each object I want to animate, on all frames on which I need them to be animated. Is this correct?
Thank you.
Why do you need this many frames? The tweening is there to reduce the frames to just the key frames.
You have to apply names only to objects that require smooth transitions between frames. You don't really have to name all of them manually, as it's a common practice to create next frame by duplicating current and then modifying the objects as needed. In this case all names are preserved.I will have to name each object I want to animate, on all frames on which I need them to be animated. Is this correct?
John.
I think I am making many mistakes there...hehehe
Perhaps, due to the fact I was accostumied with timeline based animation softwares.
So, each frame copy preserves the name, correct?
And, all of this applies to Webdesigner 6?
Are there effects we can use, as many similar softwares on the market have?
Thank you very much for your help!
I don't think there are any similar software to Xara are there?
When you say 'effects' - are you meaning 'transitions' ?
In any case, effects and transitions can be created manually.
Xhris has some neat flash effects on his home page banner.
Hi Sledger,
Yes, also transitions.
So, on Webdesigner 6 there are not any ready to use transition/effect. Is this correct?
When I mentioned similar software, I was referring to animation softwares, like Adobe Flash, for example, comparing it with the animation features on Webdesigner 6.
Fantastics the effects on Xhris website. Was them created with Webdesigner 6?
Correct
Adobe Flash or SwishMax work differently so aren't really similar at all.
Though I do understand what you mean. Xara's flash animation takes a different and far simpler approach which is not intended to compete with any Flash authoring software at all. I think Charles mentioned this in his video.
I believe Xhris used Xtreme Pro 5 for those, but yes - you could do the same with WD6.
Hi sledger,
I began to understand how the things works on Webdesigner 6.
Thanks for your always kind and helpfull support!
