A photo of a ceramic Japanese Tanuki statue. The statue stands about 36" tall (not including the hat) so you can get a better idea of its height and girth.
This (crummy) pic was snapped with my cell phone camera at the Arigato Japanese Steak & Seafood House in Greensboro, NC. The direct halogen lighting didn't help the picture much either, as you can see. In 'light' of the bad lighting, the restaurant is a favorite of my families and you'll usually find us there on special occasions including birthdays and anniversaries.
