    Default Cloud notes

Finally I did some clouds I like.
Done completely with XDP6 and a photo.

I've been working for a long time trying to figure out how to do some realistic clouds. Here are notes of my latest attempt.

Nice approach, wizard. And very nice results, too.

    Thanks Frances!
I did a little more work on this this morning
Seems like I needed to trace around the cloud and remove some of the background sky still showing around the cloud, and feathering .
So I did this very quick animation with brick (mountains?) to show that this method works well, at least in my opinion.

    Thanks amoore
I hope this method works for anyone interested.
I have always been fastenated by the results Gray gets doing clouds and still would like to be able to do that. This is the closest I have come so far.
I would like to hear from anyone if it does or does not work.
So maybe this thread could be a place everyone could post their notes on how they do clouds, and what programs they use to get the results they do.
