    Default creating PDF for printing black only in K channel

    I made a black and wie post card
    i exported it to PDF > Pdf preset = commercial printing
    i sent it to a online comerial printer
    He is telling me that the black is in all CMYK channels and that it has te be only in the K channel > C=0%, M=0%, Y=0%, K=100% .... How to do ?

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

    Exporting just as K is not a good idea because a CMYK image uses a small amount of CMY to make the black denser and richer. So if you just use the black plate, any photo images will be washed out.

    Does your postcard have any photos or is it all type?

    CMYK 0%0%0%100% its for text (sharp print).
    If you have black text in project it must be set to CMYK 0% 0% 0% 100%.

    well dear xtreme friend that was really fast !!! i like that
    my english is bad aswel (from the netherlands)
    i hope my printer wil be satisfied

    The printer wanted it that way .... so i have to ! he could not garranty that the collors in black printed text will fit very good ( it is a very cheap printer ) just foor mass fliyers

    thanks for your advice . I will use it for quality printing you was olso very vast
