    Default Help with Xara Flash

I created a small Flash appliction in Xara pro 5. It works in the preview, however when importing it into an application it does not work. I keep getting the error message, "This file is not reconised by any of the installed filters." I have made these flash files so I can use them for Science on Mimio which is an interactive white board. One can download fash files and insert them into Mimio's multmedia folder.

Can anyone shed some light on the problem?

    Hello Heinz,

Please provide more details about what you are trying to achieve. I'm not sure I'm understanding correctly.

If you are trying to use a flash animation in a web page, you cannot import the flash file. You need to create a placeholder then use the Web Properties Placeholder tab and use the Replace with Flash option.

    Hi
I am not trying to import it into a web page. We are using Inter active whiteboards at our school which can play flash applications. For some reason it can't see the flash file I created in xara. When importing (All files) the following are recognised "mimio ink" "doc" "docx" "ppt" "pptx" 'pdf".

well assuming you are using the system here:

    http://www.mimio.com/products/mimio_.../studio6.0.asp

it looks like it should work, so if you are not getting an .SWF import option, then perhaps you are trying to import it in an incorrect way?

other than check out the manuals I cannot suggest anything else as I have not used this product - its quite possible there are seperate import functions for static and multimedia files for example.....
