    Default Water Drop Effect

    Hi,

Hoping someone can help guide me as to how I can create a water-drop/ripple effect (as per the enclosed).

Any directions you are able to offer will greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi ArchersPromo—
I've attached a file. You'd be wanting primarily concentric rings, right?

Easiest way to begin this is:
    1. Create an oval and then give it a blue outline of about 24 pixels width, no fill.
    2. Duplicate it in place, Ctrl+K.
    3. Give the duplicate a light blue colour and a width of about 2 pixels.
    4. Offset the narrower oval so it's about 14 pixels higher on the page.
    5. Select both and then choose the Blend tool.
    6. Drag from the dark blue to the light blue ovals.
    7. Duplicate ann then scale the duplcate down by about 70%. Repeat.

This is the method I show in the book for creating neon tubing, as well.

    My Best,

    Gary

There is a Live Effect plugin which will do the job that you want. Redfield water ripples plugin that I use.
    Design is thinking made visual.

    Hello,
I got the effect showed using a technique you can see here: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthre...effects&page=2

That technique was applied over an ellipse and then that ellipse repeated 2 times and resized to get the 3 steps.
    I hope it is usefull.
    Best regards

    Great job Javier
I'd love to see that as an animation. The drop hitting the water and the ripples moving out. More I wish I could do that as an animation. That would be so cool.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
