Thread: jerky animation

  1. #1

    Default jerky animation

I've read in the helpfile that animations are exported at default 24 frames per second, and that the time frame I set in the Xara frames I create as part of the animation will ahve 24 divided by the number of xara frames so with 4 xara frames I'd get 6 frames of tween. I guess but if each xara frame is set to .5.. well that is two seconds... so not really sure how the calculation really works.

What I see is a terribly jerky *.swf generated with 4 xara frames all set .5.

It doesn't apper that there are any tween frames involved ... it appears to just jerk from the first frame to second etc.

How do I smooth out the animation.

The little animation can be seen here:

    Hi Harry,
For objects to tween smoothly, they need to be 'named'.
This is the first of the the core principles of creating a Xara animation.
All you have there are different objects per frame, rather like a slide show.

    See the Help File.
