Hi,

I would also like to know this plus having the rulers on by default... The usual way is to set before you open a document, but that doesn't seem possible in Xara.
Simulate Print Colors can't be a default state as far as I can determine, but certainly having rulers on can be.
Open a new blank default template, turn on rulers (Ctrl+Shift+R) then File>>Save Template - place a tick in the checkbox to make default, name it and save.
Next time you open Xtreme, it will open with the new default template with rulers enabled.
You can add the Simulate Print Colors tool icon (from the button palette) to the default template toolbar if you like, then it only requires one click to enable.
Perfect!
Thanks, Sledger
To add to this, here's an old Workbook tutorial for creating a custom button bar.
