    Default Clipart - Symbols

I've dabbled with Xara since 3. and now looking at latest.
I do plans and technical drawings and am currently doing some quarry plans and drawings.
Is there a place for clipart/ symbols that have excavators, loaders etc?
I'm not wanting images but vector drawings.

    thanks
    Richard

I have never needed that type of clipart, however a google search turned up many results.

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...n%C2%A0results

Some of the file formats may not be compatible with Xtreme. A couple of files I downloaded contained Corel Draw version 7 .cdr files that Xtreme 5 cannot open.

If you can find a site that offers .pdf files they are most likely to open in Xtreme. Some Adobe Illustrator .ai and .eps files can be opened by Xtreme.

Once you have a collection of clipart / symbols that you know will open in Xtreme you can easily add them to the designs gallery.

make sure the files are together in their own folder.
in the designs gallery click disc designs and browse to your folder and double click it. click add and Xtreme will ask you if you want to create an index. Click create and Xtreme will add your folder to the gallery.
Once your folder is added to the gallery you can drag your clipart from it and drop it into your document.

iStock has some cool freebies but their work is only to be used for personal use or promotions and ads. They can not be used in images that you sell. I grabbed that dozer, never can tell when you'll need one.

    thanks for the help.
I looked at whats on offer and though some are excellent especially istock, they come with the ususal caveat about useage (which I respect).
I did some quarry site plans a few years ago in AICS and used some clipart that I assume now came with Adobe but have looked at the CD's but can't find it.
I was hoping Xara may have had some in their galleries.
I'll grab a photo of the gear in the quarry and work from that.
    regards
    Richard

    Yes thats good thanks.
I looked in 5 and couldn't find any reference to clipart galleries.
I looked in 4 and they are there!
Maybe something else that didn't download properly. Or have I missed something?
    better get the CD ordered.

    regards
