i completely agree and they totally get on your case when they can't 'own' the images ... ie. have it as an attachement, ie. uploaded - I got into trouble for that earlier this year!

I agree with you folks: I'm not fond of the thumbnails either. I also don't really like the flash displays either (which could at least be a little larger). But, I understand their reasoning, too. I imagine this might be helpful for those with dial-up connections. Yes?
