Pictures Of Matchstick Men

This has nothing to do with the rock band Status Quo.
I have always thought that matchstick persons must be a pretty dim bunch.
They seem to get into the stupidest situations imaginable. I have had a few of these images on my hard drive for years, and they were very poor quality bitmaps. They are now better quality vectors.
The one that is attached is pretty surreal, and future ones will be as surreal or even more so.
Not a warning sign one would expect to see on the A 429 between Stow on the Wold and Moreton-in Marsh (although it is a trunk road). So what does the sign actually say?
The original graphics came with no explanations, perhaps you could supply one.

It's actually warning sign for the elephant. It says "Be careful, you may step on stupid people lying on the floor"

A common image from circuses used to be an elephant stepping on a giant ball. Your elephants foot is stepping on ... I won't continue, my eyes are watering! Perhaps the caption could be "Circuses Can Damage Your Health" !!

Or maybe warning the elephant of the possibility of stepping onto something messy.

It is obviously a sign intended to warn the pachyderms not to step on the person who has been caught napping.

The only problem is elephants are notorious for ignoring warning signs.

What do you expect from a talented animal who only gets peanuts for his labors?

It might be one of those disclaimers to "Not try this at home".

You never know what people will try at home with their elephants.

I remember this sign. It was first used outside the Westbend Health Services building to warn elephants not to use CPR on humans. I thought they took all these down once all the elephants moved away to Spain.
