Anybody else had this problem: Install appears to go fine, but when applying any of the effects (labelled "trial", although registration appeared to take) a message appears saying you must purchase the product.

"CS" at Xara support was kind enough to respond quickly with the fix. If you have a similar problem, this link fixed it for me. The key is to be sure you install to the EXACT location they recommend, not the default in the install.
