His books of Stereograms are very popular in Japan.
The book sell pretty well here in the states and in Europe. The images for the Japanese are published in a series of twice yearly magazines called TJ MOOK. (Magazine and bOOK). Who knows what the TJ stands for. The entire series of 15 have sold over 4 million copies.

I'm currently working on a compass. Once I get the plan drawings finished, the state they are in currently, then I have to make a poor man's 3D depth image. It is going to take some time. I'll try to post the depth image when I get it finished.

Most impressive Gary! I always wondered how they were made and I would look very closely at the printing to see if I could figure it out. I can see the slight changes but how someone figures out what needs to be distorted and duplicated is beyond me. You have my respect.

Gary has my deepest respect as well.

I've played around with stereograms and creating depth maps. Not an easy task.

I changed my mind Gary. With 3D glasses I get no hidden image, however without them is the easiest to see of any.
Every time I see one of these I want to study your tutorials and see if I can truly understand the process and do one myself.
    Keep up the good work.

This tutorial probably explains the process best.

    And this page.

Also, I am using a newer stereogram generator Stereogram Suite which is a better product that in the past tutorials. I was lucky to provide a lot of feedback to Yury who made quite a few changes per my input.
